We’re getting close to the 2024 Honda Prologue. Honda is giving additional information about its first-ever electric SUV ahead of its arrival in dealerships in little over a month. The starting price of the $48,795 (destination included) two-wheel-drive (single motor) EX model is more than that of the $48,795 (around $60k) dual-motor Elite model. Honda claims that the former has the most range of any base model in the class, with 296 miles on its record. There is no extended-range option above it, thus it’s also the best you can get from a Prologue.
The front wheels are the only ones powered by the EX’s 212 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque powertrain. This trim level comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and Honda’s latest infotainment system with Google integrated in. The Elite is AWD-only and starts at $59,295; adding a second motor to the EX or Touring variants will cost an additional $3,000. At that price, we anticipate it to be fully functional. In contrast to the Blazer EV, which the Prologue is built upon, the Honda has no high-output variant. The second motor that comes with AWD increases the Prologue’s overall output to 288 horsepower and 333 lb-ft.
It only takes ten minutes to fully charge the 85-kWh battery of the Prologue, which has a range of 65 miles thanks to its onboard charger that enables 150 kW rapid charging. For both in-home and on-location fast-charging, Honda is providing a number of credit choices. You can receive $500 for a level 2 home setup, while another option gives users $750 in EVgo charging credits. It’s possible to combine different options.
Here’s the full trim breakdown with pricing; note that the Elite model is offered exclusively in a dual-motor (all-wheel drive) configuration.
- EX – $48,795
- EX AWD – $51,795
- Touring – $53,095
- Touring – AWD $56,095
